Healtang Xylitol provides sweetness and cooling effects to confectionary products such as chewing gum, coatings, chewy candies and marshmallows. Healtang sells this line of sugar-free healthy carbohydrates under the brand Healtang. It offers a variety of functional properties, including oral health, blood sugar management, sweetness, and calorie reduction.

Xylitol is a naturally occurring 5-carbon polyol sweetener. It is found in fruits and vegetables, and is even produced by the body itself. Dissolved in water, it can absorb heat and has a hygroscopic effect. Overdose can cause transient diarrhea. This product can also treat constipation. Xylitol is the sweetest of all polyols. It is as sweet as sucrose, has no aftertaste, and is safe for diabetics. Xylitol has 40% fewer calories than sugar, so EU and US nutrition labels accept a caloric value of 2.4 kcal/g. In crystallization applications, it provides pleasant free cooling better than any other polyol. It is the only sweetener that shows both passive and active anti-caries effects.

Xylitol is a sugar alcohol used as a sweetener in the form of a white crystalline powder. It occurs naturally in low concentrations in the fibres of many fruits and vegetables and can be extracted from a variety of berries, oats and mushrooms as well as fibrous materials such as corn husks and bagasse. Xylitol is chemically pure and contains no additives, preservatives or colours.

It is readily soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. Xylitol is produced without the use of pesticides/herbicides, allergens, BSE/BTE or GMO.

Xylitol is very beneficial to dental health by reducing tooth decay and aiding in the remineralisation of tooth enamel. Polyols such as xylitol are not fully absorbed and metabolised by the body, which is why they have fewer calories than sugar and are considered to be low glycemic foods. This makes them particularly useful as a sugar substitute for diabetics as they do not cause a sudden rise in blood sugar levels after consumption.

Application:

Xylitol is a sweetener, nutritional supplement and adjunctive treatment for diabetics: Xylitol is an intermediate in sugar metabolism in the body. When deficient in the body, it affects the metabolism of sugar. It does not need, xylitol can also pass through the cell membrane, be absorbed and utilized by tissues, promote the synthesis of glycogen in the liver, provide nutrients and energy for cells, and will not lead to increased blood sugar levels. Increase, eliminate the symptoms of more than three symptoms (polyphagia, polydipsia, polyuria) after taking diabetes. It is the most suitable nutritional sugar substitute for diabetic patients.

Xylitol can be used in sugar, cakes and beverages as required for normal production. The label says it's for people with diabetes. In actual production, xylitol can be used as a sweetener or humectant. The food reference dosage is chocolate, 43%; chewing gum, 64%; jam, jelly, 40%; ketchup, 50%. Xylitol can also be used in condensed milk, toffee, fudge, etc. When used in pastries, browning does not occur. A small amount of fructose can be added when making pastries that need to be colored. Xylitol can inhibit the growth and fermentation activity of yeast, so it is not suitable for fermented food. What is xylitol?

Like all polyols, xylitol is a sugar alcohol or hydrogenated carbohydrate. It is also known as a sugar substitute, bulk sweetener, or sugar-free sweetener. It is found in the fiber of many fruits and vegetables, and can be extracted from various berries, oats, and mushrooms, as well as from fibrous materials such as corn husks, bagasse, and birch. Xylitol is about as sweet as sucrose, providing 2.4 calories (9 kJ) per gram, while typical carbohydrates consume 4 calories (17 joules) per gram. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classifies xylitol as a The class is "Generally Recognized as Safe" (GRAS). Xylitol is also approved by the EU as a food additive in E967 and many other jurisdictions.

How does xylitol work?

How this medicine works: Before you start taking xylitol, read the guidelines and, if available, the patient information leaflet provided by your pharmacist. If you have any questions about this medication, please consult your pharmacist or doctor. Xylitol is not metabolized by the typical acid-producing bacteria found in dental plaque, and the bacteria cannot use xylitol as a nutrient. Xylitol is converted to xylitol 5-phosphate (X5P) when taken up by bacterial cells, and X5P may inhibit bacterial metabolism, including acid production. Thus, xylitol inhibits the growth of Streptococcus mutans and distant streptococci, and inhibits acid production by these organisms in the presence of other sugars. In which products is the polyol xylitol used?

Polyol Xylitol for Food Applications

The dental significance of xylitol was studied in Finland in the early 1970s, when scientists at the University of Turku showed that it had significant dental benefits. Xylitol (European Safety No. E 967; International No. INS 967) is specific in inhibiting Streptococcus mutans, an important bacterium that causes tooth decay. Xylitol inhibits Streptococcus mutans in the presence of other sugars (except fructose). Xylitol has little aftertaste and is advertised as "safe for people with diabetes and hyperglycemia." This tolerance is attributed to xylitol's lesser effect on a person's blood sugar, and its glycemic index compared to regular sugar. Very low at 8 (Glucose has a GI of 100).
